For a few days last week myself and few friends went to Bordeaux in France.
We stayed in quite a rural area and the scenery was breath-taking. Fields and fields of sunflowers and the most elegant buildings. Dare I say it… very french?
I flew in a day later than the others so after they picked me up from the airport we caught the tram into Bordeaux and had a wander around.
The following days consisted of lounging by the pool, going to the Zoo and aquarium and Sand Yachting. I haven’t got any pictures of this unfortunately, but it was so much fun! It’s basically a case of steering a sail attached to a little kart in wind. But oh my was it windy!! Honestly one of the funniest things I’ve done we were COVERED in mud and resulted in Dalmatian lookalikes.
Now before I went away everyone at work kept saying things like “prepare to drink a lot of wine and eat a lot of bread” etc. I am not a wine drinker. Me and wine don’t get on so well. Give me a bottle of Captain Morgans any day but wine No Thank You.
But of course, when in France one must partake in the culture norms and between the two girls that were there, we probably went through about four bottles of Rosรจ over the course of five days. Not only that but a baguette was also consumed during every meal. do I have any regrets? HELL NO. Do I now have a post hol belly the size of my head? HELL YAAAS.
In France you will quite often find Chateau’s every where. (Pronounced Chato not Chatew, i made that mistake) Basically every french person owns one I swear?! But anyway, the four of us went on a little adventure and found an abandoned one which was super fun to explore. It was pretty spooky but really cool to see how it stood after 30 years of being empty.
It’s always nice to have a few days break and spend it was my all time favourite people.
Where abouts have you guys been on holiday this year?
Lots of love,
Sophiemagsx
