Reading Festival is a rock music festival which takes place over the last weekend of August.
Myself and a few friends try to go every year and once again the weekend did not disappoint.
The festival for us starts on a Wednesday as we tend to get early entry. This allows us to get a good spot before all the crowds come in. The walk from the car park to the campsite is the longest walk ever and we have to do it twice to walk back to Tesco to stock up on alcohol, so the extra day gives you more time to relax!
Some of the acts we saw at Reading this year included KASABIAN, Eminem, Two Door Cinema Club, Bastille, Milky Chance, Sundara Karma, The Amazons, Everything Everything, I could go on but I don’t want to bore you haha! The best act by far was Kasabian. They headlined on the Friday and luckily for us all the acts we wanted to see were on the main stage so it gave us a perfect opportunity to get to the front. To me there is nothing better than thousands of people all singing along to the same band that you all love.
Apart from the incredible music line up, Reading also has the best line up of food stalls. From burritos to paella, halloumi fries, Chinese, Indian, pizza. It’s not all just greasy little vans you see at the side of the road, they are beautiful stands which put a lot of effort into the food. It’s fair to say I ate my weight in food this weekend and I have no regrets mhahah.
Apart from having to camp I had the best weekend. I don’t usually mind camping but we underestimated how big our tent would be and I wasn’t prepared for how cold it was at night. Take note guys, it doesn’t matter how hot it is during the day (26 in England) you will still be freezing at night!
If you want to see what I took to Reading Festival check out my last post here.
Fab weekend filled with plenty of food, alcohol, friends and good times WOO WOO.
That’s it for my summer now, has anyone else still got a few more plans for their summer left?
Lots of love,
Sophiemagsx
