As soon as autumn hits you are pretty much obliged to partake in an autumnal walk through a forest.
We went for a walk in a place called the Forest of Dean, with the intention to follow the sculpture trail, but with the both of us having no sense of direction it is fair to say we got well and truly lost and only saw 3 sculptures out of a possible 20 odd. ooooppppsss!
We took along my little pup and considering she is the laziest animal going, she survived a 5 hour walk. (it was only meant to be 2 hours) Here are some photos of the day…

07/10/2017 at 5:45 amYou need a portable gps compass,or download one to your phone. Then get an ordinance survey map, locate the grid reference of each sculpture, from the dean web site. Plot them in order and go again. Then you will see all.

14/10/2017 at 10:31 pmThe sculpture trail sounds like fun. There is a walk near me that has a bee hive shaped brick sculpture in the forest. It is being strangled by creeping vines and one day will likely not be seen at all. I’d love to see it before it disappears. Access to the forest is by four wheel drive only. I need to find a willing, off road truck owning friend to come along.
