When I travelled to South Africa, it gave me the chance to meet many great people. One person in particular became my life and soul and i would consider to be a very good friend.
Long story short, nearly 10 months down the line and she is still stuck with me! Me and Millie live about two hours away from each other so don’t really see each other that much. When we do get round to making plans its quite special and always super fun.
On this occasion I took a trip to Northampton which started with too much traffic and not enough movement resulting in an extra hour and a half being added onto my already two-hour long journey! I finally arrived and as per was greeted with very much joy from Millie and Stella her boxer dog.
The plan for the weekend was to relax and not spend any money which turned into a complete night out with me not getting back till 5am. I am too old to be out till that time!!! As drunk youths go, me and Millie lived up to that expectation, and even spilled blueberries when we came home! Drunk people are not quiet ha!
It’s weekends like this which make me realise how incredibly lucky I am to have had the chance to meet Millie and share all these incredible memories. Travelling is not only good for the memories but for the incredible people you meet along the way.
Anyone still talk to their friends from travelling?
Lots of love,
Sophiemagsx

04/12/2017 at 5:47 amThere is nothing quite like the bonds I’ve forged on the road. I’ve maintained all of my friends from my trips, and now I have people I go visit and climb with all over the United States. I even met a guy from the UK who I’m planning to visit and go climb with over there!
