NO SPOILERS
90’s babies are you ready. 14 Years since the most iconic Disney film of its lifetime was released, and we are blessed with the Pixar baby that is Incredibles 2.
I watched this film two weeks after it was released (and a month later) and with the cinema still full and the majority being adults in site, we tucked into our seats for the nostalgia journey we had all hoped for.
Before the Incredibles movie is shown, Disney bless you with one of their short movies called Bau. This movie perfectly sets the scene for the rest of the Incredibles movie you are about to experience while also providing you with that gut clenching feeling Disney love to give us with their shorts. I am quite surprised they showed it at the begginging, as it makes you well up a bit after tugging on the heart-strings, while also leaving you ready for discussion about what you’ve witnessed. (For those who have seen it, Incredibles 2 was great and all but can we talk about the murder that took place in Bau???)
Now for the big screen picture we were all waiting for…the movie from start to finish is everything you could ever want from your standard Disney film, and I think the writers and directors did a FANTASTIC job of appealing the film to adults. Lets be honest we’ve waited 14 years, of course we were going to be the adults who watched it!! The biggest event shall we say, for the whole movie was Jack-Jack. What a character. There was something in the movie which appeals to all ages and I was in stitches of giggles. One of the most light hearted, happy films to have been blessed on our screens.
It’s fair to say I left the cinema feeling content and nostalgic, like the first time I saw the Incredibles all over again. There are giggles and sighs, but most importantly, the favourites are not forgotten.
Incredibles 2 is a MUST watch.
Have you seen it, what are your thoughts?
Lots of love,
Sophiemagsx

before going into the film I thought one of the the IncrediKids were going to turn bad, more specifically Violet. Maybe in the next film? if Bird ever gets around to making another one….
