TUESDAY!!! Sophie, why are you blogging on a Tuesday??
Well since your definitely would have asked that question, it turns out im far too organised and now have blog posts scheduled until October. That being said I can’t really review an AUGUST Birchbox in OCTOBER, so lucky for you, you get an extra one this week wahoooo!
Today is a first for Hopeless Wondered, I’ll be reviewing beauty products from the latest August Birchbox. I’ve had my Birchbox subscription for two months now and I’m super impressed already. It’s worth every penny and is great for showing you different styles of products.
Generally the overall quality is amazing. The boxes are fabulously designed, with elegant characteristics every month, (and make great for storage afterwards). The products are top quality, and they put effort into what they pick for you based off your beauty profile when you sign up. Within a birch box you always get a cute little quote card, which I’m slowly pinning all around my flat and they look adorable.
So for Augusts products…
Concealer: Known as the ‘instagram filter’ according to Birchbox. This concealer is sent out darker than your skin colour for added effect, but I can only really use this when I go all out for my make up (which is rarely). It’s good quality, leaves a soft feel on your skin, and you don’t need too much. 7/10
Hair Mask: Damn this product smelt so good!!! Simple and effective. I’ve never used a hair mask before, but my hair felt incredibly strong after. I loved it so much I bought some for my friend too! 9/10
Sleep Mask: The problem with sleep masks is that I sleep with my face full into the pillow, so leaving it on all night is a waste of time, which the product recommends. It came off really easy, but my skin didn’t feel too different. I’m gonna try it a few more times as I’m not too impressed yet.. 5/10
Eye Crayons: Both my July and August Birchbox have contained eye shadow pencils, and I’m super impressed with the colour, and quality of the product. It stays on really well and even with a shade such as rose gold, it stands out and makes a difference. Easy to apply, easy to take off. 9/10
Eyeliner: This product broke as soon as I applied it, so I can’t really judge it, but its an eyeliner that doesn’t really stand out from the crowd, and seeing as it broke with minimal effort, im disappointed! 3/10
I hope you liked this change of scenery and let me know if this type of post interests you!
Did you get the August Birchbox, what did you think of the products?
Lots of love,
Sophiemagsx
