Winter is coming…

Considering I’m writing this post in August, it’s fair to say I’m thinking ahead.

Throughout summer the UK has been lucky enough to finally have a summer it’s always dreamed of. 4 Months of 30 degree weather has kept our tans glowing, hair flourishing, and ice cream vans moving. THIS NEVER HAPPENS. It’s been such a big deal because we’re lucky if we get a week of sun let alone four bloody months.

But anyway, as we draw to the end of summer and make the most of the last few days of heat, it is evident that winter is near. I can almost smell the pumpkin spiced latte’s…

I am a sucker for a good summer but we also have to appreciate that with a bit of cold comes some benefits too. Here are some of my favourite things about winter…

  • Drizzly days call for movie marathons
I am a sucker for wrapping myself up in front of a fire (ok a few candles) with a blanket and bowls of snacks to endure endless movie’s. I think this year I’m gonna try a Marvel marathon…
  • Curry nights!
Me and my friends will quite often all get together and just have a meal, gossip and binge on a documentary. Whoever is hosting usually cooks, and curry in winter is such a warm meal. I easily eat two a month which is super bad but they warm me up!
  • Hot chocolate extravaganza
Nothing quite says winter like a giant hot chocolate piled with wiped cream and minstrels!
  • Dare i say it…. CHRISTMAS
I friggin love christmas, the spirit, the cheer, the togetherness. it makes so happy. ( im so lame)

That’s it for today, just a quick little chat and hope i’m not the only one also looking forward to the next few months. Rain or snow, always make the most of every day by finding the best.

Lots of love,

Your post made me smile. I love autumn, but I’m not so sure about winter. I wish the sun would come out more often in winter. 🙂

There’s nothing lame about loving Christmas! It’s the best :). I like to start my Christmas shopping early in fall just so I can think about it more and devote ridiculous amounts of time to trying to find the perfect gift ideas. And I have a li’l Charlie Brown Christmas tree I setup each year too. Aaaaahh, yay for Christmas!

Also, obviously, I think your Marvel movie marathon sounds AMAZING.
