Okay I know what you’re thinking, I’m just gonna go on mindfulness wellbeing malarkey chat.
BUT thou shall not disappoint her readers, I have read the BEST book ever. Honestly it’s changed my life.
The book is called “The Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving a Fuck” by Sarah Knight and it straight up teaches you exactly as it says on the title page.
It takes you through baby steps and how to apply this into your life and it is a very useful insight if you worry too much about what others think.
Some of my favourite things I’ve taken from this book are…
If you don’t care about the latest trend everyone has jumped on, then don’t feel pressure to care. If you don’t enjoy it don’t waste your time pretending to enjoy it whether that be a fashion trend or sport etc. I for one did not enjoy the gin hype as it still tastes gross no mater what you put it with, and I have no intention of drinking it.
Secondly, being honest. Be more honest on your opinions, if someone has said something that’s upset you, say how you feel, it is more important than protecting someones dignity or their values, which does also kinda take me onto the next point.
ALWAYS PUT YOURSELF FIRST. Thats it no matter what, you are important way before anyone else. If you want to wear a pom-pom jumper with glittery trainers, dive straight in. If you want to eat pizza for two nights in a row because you can’t be bothered to shop, GIRL EAT THAT PIZZA. Okay I’m straying thinking about pizza, but seriously, buy this book, read it and have your entire perspective on life changed. Because at the end of the day, who cares what other people think. The only person you’re actions affect is you and no one else has an impact on your life other than yourself. You choose the risks, and you make the decisions, don’t do it on behalf of others, do it for the good of yourself.
Lots of love,
(and go and buy the book, I promise, it’s a miracle for self-care)
