I’m not too sure where to start with this…
It helps if you have read my post The Frustration of mental health… as this kinda explains my history with therapy and my mental health.
Well lucky me I finally had success and was lucky enough to start seeing a therapist again, which is funded by work meaning i don’t have to pay, (even better)!!
I think the main reason behind wanting to see a therapist is that there has been a lot of changes going on in my life, with work and just something about being this age adds like ?????????? this much stress and unexplained thoughts. Just like everyone I have bad days and good days, but the bad days were becoming more prominent and i was forgetting how to cope again. Therapy is my chance to learn how to cope again and understand why i am thinking a certain way, because once you know why you learn not think in that pattern again.
It’s also a great place to vent, cry and get everything off my chest while also learning useful calming techniques. After one session I am back to sleeping healthy again and although it may not be a quick fix to the crap that is currently going on in my life, it sure helps.
If you are struggling with mental health, I cannot recommend a therapist more. I’m not too keen on going on any drugs as the thought terrifies me and therapy is a healthy natural way of bringing yourself back on track.
There is nothing wrong with needing a little help, so the more help I can get the better I’ll be.
Until next time..
