My sasspiration

Hey hey all fabulous followers,

I have a little follow on blog for you today. A few posts ago I wrote an uplifting post around being sassy and how it motivates me which you can read about here.

Following on from that post I wanted to write a little something about where I get all my sasspiration from, and that is the talented and insanely adorable woman herself, Ariana Grande. I’ve never really been one to listen to any music any other than rock, indie music, but recent bad experiences have led me astray and into the world of pop and most importantly the messages conveyed throughout her music.

Song’s such as Problem, No Tears Left to Cry, 7 Rings and of course Thank U Next are regularly repeated on my Spotify. They are catchy, upbeat, powerful and charm you into a more independent kick ass woman, and sometimes you need that reminder.

Sometimes you need to listen to someone else sing out loud how they feel in similar situations and how they picked themselves up again. Also its quite reassuring to know that as adorable and as rich as you may be,  boys will still break your heart and life can get stressful at all levels.

If you are having a hard time, listen to her newest album, it will pick you up from the dirty floor, and make you shine a little more, because that little step is one bit closer to being yourself again.

If there are any other artists you can recommend who may be just as influential, please do let me know, im always up for being more sassy!

Lots of love,

Aw, thank you for sharing what helps pick you up. I must admit I don’t listen to any of her music (unless it’s on the radio when I’m in the car) so I’ll have to check the new album out. I listen to various things when I need some inspiration but I find Alanis Morissette really good for singing along to, singing about relevant things I can relate to, giving a little comfort at the same time.
