Hey hey groovy people of the interweb.
This is my second to last episode in this series as gig season is sadly coming to an end!
I must add that this season has been particularly extended and each year I get flooded with more and more gigs and less and less money, doh!
I recently saw Catfish and the Bottlemen live at the Richo arena, Coventry, which I had actually visited this particular arena 3 years back when I last saw them in an arena setting.
I’m going to be honest as amazing as the band are it was not my favourite gig. The arena SUCKS. Parking Sucks, the people were rowdy and grumpy and drunk. I just think the band chose the wrong arena for their type of crowd.
This is a band growing extortionately every day and along with it the excitement to see them, so of course it was going to be messy but the size of the arena did not cope.
Both support from Twin Atlantic and Catfish’s performance were outstanding and made me very happy to watch. Light shows galore and edgy set ups made the bands look sick. Both performances blew the crowd away and the dancing was endless.
I can’t help feeling a little dissapointed by the whole evening, but my love for the band has not been deminished.
Final gig of the year is Sam Fender on Friday and I can’t wait for this final blow out!
Lots of love,
