I want to share with you today one of my favourite bloggers; Amelia in Hull.
I always make sure I read Amelia’s post because every single one amazes me about how much culture there is to Hull. Before reading her blog, Hull was just another city but I now I hope to one day visit, as there is so much going on and such a variety of events!
In spirit of this I thought it would be a good idea for us to collab. She regularly fills her readers with fab things to do in Hull, so I thought I would share with you my favourite places within Tewkesbury. Make sure you also take the time to visit Amelias blog to read her post on all her favourite spots in Hull.
So first up, if you didn’t know Tewkesbury, it is a little town that is sat between the River Seven and River Avon, in Gloucestershire meaning we regularly flood! If you Google 2007 floods, Tewkesbury is every where as we were cut off from resources for a few days during high levels of water…
Aside from the water, Tewkesbury is a lovely place and is surrounded by so much countyside. Now compared to Hull as it is a town it is quite small so my fav places may not be as big and bold as Hull. Anyway straight in:
The Ham: This is essentially a giant field sizing at a mile wide. It is regularly home to sheep and cattle, but is a fab place to walk the dog. Half way round you can also find a little weir which is a fab place to sit for a picnic.

The Fleet: (i don’t actually have a photos but its cute i promise) The Fleet is a pub situated within Twyning a little village adjacent Tewkesbury, but you can walk there along the River Avon through connecting fields. This is a nice little walk and great for a summers day stroll the pub for a few drinks.
Bredon Hill: About ten minutes from Tewkesbury is one of my favourite dog walking spots, Bredon Hill. It’s about a two hour walk and is completely peaceful. When you get to the top the view is further tranquility and more often than not you can see deer wondering around.

The old mill: On the otherside of the The Ham is situated the old flour mill. It connects the ham to Victoria Pleasure gardens. This area is a bit run down but it has so much history behind it, from being underwater during the floods, to when it used to function. Its the perfect picnic spot.

Cleeve Hill: What I love about walking up Cleeve Hill, is the view. Compared to Bredon, climbing to the top of this hill, you are welcomed with a glorious view of Gloucestershire. It is a great way to remind that despite all the chaos you welcome on a day to day life you are still one person umongst thousands. There is also a cute little pub half way up the road where you can get that picture perfect sunset shot.

That’s all I have to share with you today. As you can probably guess Tewkesbury in itself is a very quaint little town surrounded by beautiful countryside, which Is why I feel so lucky to live here! it doesn’t take long to escape the hustle and bustle.
Make sure to pop over to Amelia’s post and read everything she has to share about Hull and also follow her!
