Whats happening guys!
I’ve gone from not really having much to blog about to currently scheduling 4 posts at once! It’s mad how the brain works in creative ways. How is everyone doing anyway? I’ve had a bit going on lately, job applications, trying super hard at the gym and general boring life admin. Does anyone else find it all just creeps on you at once??
As the spooky season is approaching, in true Halloween style, a group of us decided to go back to Frightmare at Over farm, Gloucester. Frightmare is one of my FAVOURITE events of the year. Every year Over Farm put on this event in which you go around different rooms, all styled out in different ways and essentially people make you jump, so of course this year was no different. I’ m going to take you around some of the rooms and what happened. Unfortunately I don’t have any images of the rooms themselves, because you’re not allowed to take photos while your in there.
So first up, we all did the Haunted Hay Ride:
For this, you get on a trailer on the back of the tractor, and it takes you around the farm in the dark. The theme is zombie outbreak. During this there are a few stops and people aka zombies come on the tractor creeping you out and scaring you. Then you get to the barn and have to make your way through this haunted barn over run with zombies in the dark. Normally you have to run after escaping, but it was pouring down with rain so we got a lift with the trailer. It was so fun, and they did it so well this year. Props to the actors for standing in the rain all evening while people come by!
Following that we did Wonderland, which was an Alice in Wonderland kinda theme room, which required 3D glasses. This was one super cool, because rather than scaring you, it just completly messed with your vision. Everything was neon and there was cool optical illusions with a few jokers hanging around!
After Wonderland we did Seance, which as the name speaks itself was calling out for the dead, it wasn’t actually as scary as it I thought it was going to be, but still scary nonetheless and after we had to walk through a nun house and into a nun graveyard which was just super creepy!
The last few were Caged, Offering and Carnival, which were still a little scary, but I think we had all gotten to the point where the scare had come out of us.
I had a fab evening, and despite it being super rainy and muddy, it didn’t ruin it. The whole thing was a great laugh and if you have something similar to you nearby, I would highly recommend it for the adrenaline rush!
Is there anything near you going on for halloween?
Lots of love,
