Spontaneous potter play!

Boy it has been a long week. Nothing major has really gone wrong, but I am mentally exhausted! On Monday 4 November, I had just a super unlucky day, from locking myself out of my flat, to my car breaking and work being manic and bleaughhh, so it was nice to end the day by taking a visit to our local theatre.

The Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, is one of Cheltenham’s most beautiful buildings. I love visiting this place for plays, and pantos and musicals. I can remember when I was little every Christmas I would go and see Nut Cracker on Ice or Cinderella on ice etc and it made me feel so festive! So for a little change, of play, I bought my friend a ticket for her birthday to go and see “Spontaneous Potter” as she adores all things Harry Potter.

The play consisted of four actors who performed improv scenes and story lines, which they took from the audience. Plays include, Harry Potter and the exploding Hamster, Harry Potter and the pot of Shame and a few others.

It was so funny, and amazing how well they put together these hilarious plays on the spot without any practise and just taking what came to them. What made it even funnier is that one of the actors had never watched any Harry Potter movies, read any books and new nothing about Harry Potter, but I definitely think this was used to their advantage as this actor not getting any of the jokes put the cherry on top of the cake!

I think after this I definitely want to go and see more plays, because its nice to have a reason to dress up and feel cute, and this was what I needed after a long as heck day!

This was quite a ramble post today but I just wanted to pop in and share this with you, hope you all have a wonderful week!

Lots of love,

Wow, that theater is absolutely breathtaking! I love improv so much, especially when they take ideas from the audience. What a fun twist that one of the actors knew nothing about HP!
