I am so excited to share the latest gig in my More than Music series!! On November 13th, myself and Ally took a trip to Birmingham about 50 minutes from us, to visit Rex Orange County at the Birmingham 02 Academy.

We had balcony seats and got there in enough time to get a good seat.
The whole event was so wonderful. The songs of course, were charming and quirky with soft beats and hints of jazz, while the back drops flourished in colour and excitement. Rex and his band put on a phenomenal show and it was such a pleasant experience to watch.

Some of my favourite tracks include Sunflower, Loving is Easy and 4 Seasons. Rex Orange County is quite new to my ever growing list of music, but since discovering him he has also been one of my most played. Each song brings a new emotion and with it a new story to celebrate.

Overall the show was amazing and I feel very happy that I was able to watch it.
In other news, a 50 minute journey back from Birmingham took 3 hours longer than necessary, because the West Midlands decided to close both routes back home! Nightmare! it was fair to say I was more than tired and grouchy the day after.
Thanks for taking the time to read todays blog post, and keep your eyes peeled for more gigs on Sophiemags.com
Lots of love,
Sophiemagsx
