ITS BEEN SO LONG SINCE I’VE DONE A GIG REVIEW, IM SO GLAD TO BE BACK DOING IT!!!
Hello and welcome back to the latest and LONG overdue edition of More than Music!!!!! Man I feel great, I love writing these reviews, just as much as I love being at a gig. I am telling you right now there is NO better feeling than watching live music. Festivals, Gigs, pubs, around campfire with that one friend who always brings their guitar, I freaking love it. Music connects people on whole new levels. It brings out love, friendship and passion.
As you can see from the title, I was lucky enough to see Lewis Capaldi at Cardiff. It was EVERYTHAAAANG you expect and dream of seeing Lewis Capaldi live. I tell you now, no virus got in the way of everyone belting their absolute heart out, to banger after banger. There was confetti, there was fire, there was incredibly loud singing, fuelled with the voices of 7000 people belting every word. Of course Capaldi did a FREAKING FANTASTIC FANTABULOUS job, of being the person he is. His stage presence was powerful, his chat with the crowd, kept us in high spirits despite some very emotional songs.
Honestly, it was a night I will never forget in my own history of seeing live music, and I have seen plenty, because damn, it was incredible. There are a lot of songs in this world from all over the place, about, love, loss, war, baby sharks and combine harvesters, but there is no other feeling that will compare to 7000 people screaming at the top of their lungs, Someone Like You. Powerful.
Is there a gig for you thats been as powerful as this?
Lots of love,
